If you are looking for an authentic Swahili food in Nairobi then I recommend Mona Swahili restaurant (located at Piedmont plaza, Ngong road,next to junction mall ) This restaurant offers the best Swahili meals and snacks from the coastal cuisine. The restaurant offers a great service with polite staff. The meals were flavorful with well balanced spices and great taste . The menu prices are affordable too and you get great value for your money I totally recommend.

I've only ever ordered their Chicken Biryani and it's DELICIOUS! Good portion sizes, good packaging and fast delivery. The only thing that's not great is that I feel their prices are high so I wait for offers

The waitress was super adorable and the food was ballistic. I didn't expect to enjoy my lunch that much. Also, the ambiance was perfect for a private meeting.

They have some good food! I've gone there so many times and i enjoyed, the place is quiet, such a nice place to relax. Although, i wouldn't recommend their kaimatis or any swahili foods. But everything else is good. Their services are excellent. Food takes time to get ready, so don't go there while you're super hungry, but despite that, the place is amazing. The chefs are amazing and polite. Waitress is amazing, especially the one with short dreadlocks and glasses,she's super amazing

The beef pilau option i picked was great. Service timely. Their cocktail was good too
